Directory of Bilingual Services in Lethbridge
LETHBRIDGE, MONDAY, MAY 31, 2021 – Today the ACFA of Lethbridge will release the results of its Census Project; the directory of bilingual services in Lethbridge.
The census project, funded by Canadian Heritage, began in March 2019 and ended in March 2021. The goal of the project being to promote Lethbridge's bilingual services and to better serve its community, the ACFA has created a directory that is easy to access and simple to use. The directory is available on the ACFA website.
The directory includes about sixty services which can offer service in both of Canada's official languages and they are divided into 18 different categories. It is still possible to register
services by completing the questionnaire which can be found on the ACFA website. It is also possible, with the questionnaire, to refer a service. The questionnaire can be completed by
professionals as well as individuals, groups or organizations capable of providing bilingual service.
The ACFA also took the opportunity to collect a contact list of bilingual professionals who do not offer direct service. These contacts will be kept on file for reference. Their expertise could be used in a project context or otherwise.
