When weather allows, many people use bicycles to get around Lethbridge.
Cycling
- You must obey all vehicle traffic laws while you are riding your bicycle.
- Cyclists under the age of 18 must wear a helmet while riding a bike. If not, they could receive a ticket. It is suggested everyone wear a helmet.
- There are many bicycle trails throughout the city, some that may help you avoid traffic or busy roads.
- All city buses have bike racks on the outside located on the front of the bus so that passengers can take their bikes with them. The bus driver will assist passengers to use the racks.
- It is suggested that you purchase a sturdy lock for your bike, if you choose to park it and leave it unattended.
City of Lethbridge - Pathways Maps
The City of Lethbridge's pathway network contains over 170 km of paved pathways, and approximately 55 km of natural or gravel trails. Centered around the Coal Banks Trail, the regional pathways connect neighbourhoods throughout the City. Natural pathways are a great way to explore the river valley parks.
