Recycling depots can be found in many parts of the city; to locate the nearest drop-off area, call Lethbridge Waste & Recycling.
The City of Lethbridge picks up garbage from your home once a week and takes it to the city landfill or dump. This service is included in your city utility bill, or is part of the rent that you pay. To find out what day to leave trash out, call The City of Lethbridge by calling 311 or going to 311.lethbridge.ca.
You can also recycle yard waste from your home. The City will pick up bags of leaves in the fall, and you can take yard waste to the city’s yard waste recycling centre for free between April 1st and November 30th. Service groups, such as Boy Scouts of Canada, will also pick up used real Christmas trees.
