Services for Senior Citizens

There is a small fee to join and additional fees for some services offered. Members can spend as much or as little time there as they want; the centres are great places to meet new friends. You can also get help with government and other programs for seniors.

Many seniors in the Lethbridge area still live in their own homes. Elderly people who have trouble taking care of themselves have options:

• Home care: Provides some medical and housekeeping services in the home
• Supportive living: A home-like and family-friendly apartment where seniors only get the help and medical care they need
• Long-term care: For a small number of people with many health problems who need a more hospital-like place to live.
