Cultural and Ethnic Associations

Over 30 local ethnic groups belong to SAEA. They offer a variety of educational programs, social opportunities, cross-cultural experiences, including festivals, Cultural Nights, language classes, dance and so much more.

L'ACFA (Association canadienne-française de l'Alberta) régionale de Lethbridge s'engage à promouvoir le développement de la vie et de la culture française au sein de la communauté francophone de la région de Lethbridge.

La Cité des Prairies' mission is to provide a gathering place to celebrate and share the Francophone cultures while meeting the needs of an evolving community.

La garderie CREFL is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment, which promotes quality French first language teaching through play. This is accomplished through the support of our staff, board (CREFL), families and our community.

Our goal is to provide our children with experiences and opportunities to learn their French language and culture in a Francophone program. We aim to provide an environment for the children to identify with their heritage through socialization with their peers. We will allow children to develop creatively in a non-bias and safe atmosphere
which encourages self-expression within the dynamics of the many cultures within the centre.

The Lethbridge French Libary is your public library of reference in FRENCH for Lethbridge and surrounding areas. Our collection of books, audiobooks, DVDs and CDs is entirely written in French. The Médiathèque is affiliated with the Chinook Arch Regional Library System. Therefore you can use your Chinook Arch library card to borrow items from the Médiathèque! We are located at 2104 - 6th Avenue South in Lethbridge, Alberta. The Lethbridge French Library is located on the 1st floor at the Cité des Prairies Cultural and Community Center. The entrance is on 6th Avenue South.

The cIneMAGINE Society is a non-for-profit organization responsible for promoting French films to Francophones and Francophiles of Alberta.
